HomeAbout Us

A neutral hand, for families navigating one of the hardest parts of life.

Sonder & Solace exists to give children stability, give caseworkers reliability, and give families a calm setting in which to do necessary, difficult work.

Our mission

To protect the well-being of children through structured, safe interaction.

We are deeply committed to prioritizing the safety and best interests of children and youth at all times — facilitating reunification where that is the case plan, and fostering healthy family relationships where they can take root.

Our mission shows up in the unglamorous places: the precision of our scheduling, the discipline of our documentation, the warmth of our staff, the predictability of the room a child walks into each week. We believe consistency is a form of care.

Value 01

The child's experience is the unit of measurement.

If a process is technically correct but distressing for a child, we revisit the process. Safety includes how a visit feels, not only what it complies with.

Value 02

Documentation is care.

Clear, factual reporting protects the child, protects the family, and gives the people who decide next steps something solid to stand on.

Corporate governance

Compliance is the floor, not the ceiling.

Sonder & Solace is built on strict administrative and legal compliance — and on a discipline of internal review that goes beyond what's required.

We maintain active corporate filings, continuously update operating procedures to remain aligned with Alberta CFS standards, and conduct internal quality assurance reviews on a regular cadence to verify that what we do in the field matches what we say in our policies.
